Fuel Surcharge due to Middle East Conflict

Since the Middle East conflict began on 28 February 2026, the instability around fuel supplies has seen global fuel prices have rise sharply. As a result, we have seen Sydney fuel terminal gate diesel prices increase over 88%.

Fuel is one of the largest costs involved in operating our bussing services. While we have worked hard to absorb these increases for as long as possible, the recent price rises are now too significant to fully cover within our current pricing.

To ensure we can continue to provide safe, reliable, and high-quality transport services, we have introduced a temporary Fuel Surcharge as of 30 March 2026 to respond to these extraordinary circumstances.

To ensure transparency, we use the following calculation to determine the Fuel Surcharge rate and this rate is updated on the first business day each week.

Fuel Surcharge Rate = (Current Diesel Price ÷ Baseline Diesel Price − 1) × Operating Cost Rate

• Operating Cost Rate (fuel costs for combined diesel & EV fleet): 18%
